Hello, I need help quickly with my foot problems. I found out a dew months ago that i overpronate. I had no idea what this was until i did a little research. During running my calfs start to cramp and burn and my feet hurt a lot. I got sof sole graphite insoles and they dint seem to do much then i got powerstep full length and i use them in my everyday shoes, not sure if they made a difference but during lacrosse i use superfeet blue for my cleats and they seem to work a little bit. i was wondering if someone could tell me what kind of arch supports will really help and prevent all the damage i heard can be done by overpronation. Also i am starting to jog/sprint during my exercise routines and was thinking about getting some asics shoes designed for overpronation but i will only use them when i run. Will the shoes be enough support or will i need arch supports in them also?
Please help I have no idea what to do

Ok,
I do have very low arches and I think I may under pronate. For the past 8 months or so the inside upper arch and area just below my inside ankle have greatly pained me after any sort of high active movement (running, playing sports). I then will go to sit down and the pain will go away but the second I put my weight back on my feet, that whole area screams in response, causing me to often times limp. The pain is primarily in my right foot but sometimes journeys over to my left.
Note: I also have somewhat poor circulation in my feet (not crippling, not RSD, my feet are just always cold and sometimes have a very light hint of purple around the first or upper joints of my toes.)
Any recommendations???? I am soon going to get insoles for my shoes to better support my arches in every day activities and am going to wear Asics running shoes for the exercising and running.
I am not overweight or obese, infact, at the age of 14, I weigh just 91 pounds.

so basically I’m wondering if my flat feet have anything to do with the fact that I can’t kick freestyle kick properly because I can’t point my toes a lot. Are these totally different issues, or will I be able to point my toes more if lets say, I wear insoles.
I’m very concerned about this because you see, when I freestyle kick with proper technique , I move backwards >.<
Many thanks

I have tried so many supports/insoles etc… and they wear out so fast, and don’t work. Do the good feet supports REALLY last? I hear they are "expensive" what does that mean? Basics prices?? Basically, what is the price? Do they work? Are the long lasting??

I run a lot for the military, after my first Half-marathon I started getting sizable blisters right on the underside of my arch on the insole. I have treated them as you are supposed to however just this week one appeared to heal over but it itches and is slightly puffy. Any idea what thats all about?

I just started working at Wal-Mart, and my feet kill me after every shift I work. I am looking for a good pair of shoes to wear at work on very hard tile floors, and I need good arch support too. I have very little natural arch in my foot, and even with Dr. Scholl’s insoles in my best pair of shoes, my heels, ankles, knees, and lower back kill me. Some co-workers have said New Balance shoes are good, others that the shoes with springs, I think Nike Shox, are good. Please help me… I have a limited budget and can’t stand being in pain so much all the time.

I was watching at around 6 A.M. (infomercial time) and they were advertising barefoot science foot insoles. and they’re supposed to make your arches better and stop overpronation they’re 70 bucks. and the stuff they were saying was convincing but i’m still not sure whether to get them. they have reviews but i don’t know if they just paid someone to do it or not. Have any of you had any experience on those and can you tell me how it was for you

I am wearing proper good running shoes on the machine, but the pain gets pretty bad, should I maybe try to get an insole with arch support? Any help would be great as I love using the machine, it cost quite a lot of cash, and I would like to be able to use it daily.

a little over a month ago i started working out to get myself in better shape and to lose some un-wanted weight… so i bought an elliptical machine. well ever since about two weeks after i got it i have this pain in the arch of my right foot, i have good shoes, new balance as a matter of fact, so i don’t think that is it, i even bought an arch support gel insole from dr. scholl’s and that doesn’t seem to help either. it almost feels like it is being stretched when i walk, like it is really tight and when i press my foot down it feels like the muscle is being pulled. it is making me walk on the outer side of my foot because it hurts. do any of you know what this might be because of or how to stretch it out r maybe what i can do to help it or SOMETHING!

When I get on the treadmill and walk my feet start to cramp and hurt real bad to the point that I have to stop walking. Is there anything I can do for this? Is it caused by high arches? I tried insoles and they dont help, they just make it hard to wear my shoes. Is there something else that could be causing this?

I usually wear gym shoes or cowboy boots. Lately my feet especially the arch are sore. I have bought a pair of 7.00 dr sholls insoles but they felt good for a few days and then they were no help. Any suggestions on what Insoles I should get that will last and really feel comfortable?

Im a fit 24 yo guy, I have been playing bball for 6 years and recently have had problems with my feet and calf muscles. 5 minutes into a game the arches of my feet will be in alot of pain, then my calves muscles will starting hurting which gets worse the longer I stay on the court and then my left foot goes numb. I have been to the poditrist and they say I do not need custom orthotics as my feet to not pronate however they suggested using insoles with arch support which I have been using for 2 months now. I have also done stretching of the calves everyday for 2 months. Nothing has changed – i cant do any vigorous exercise on hard surface, like bball court or treadmill – as the pain is too much. Anyone had a similar problem? Any suggestions appreciated. Thankyou
